SpendLyst ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the SpendLyst mobile application (the "App"). By using SpendLyst, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: When you sign up or log in via email and password, Google Sign-In, or Facebook Login, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture (if provided by the sign-in provider).
• Financial Data You Provide: Expense and income entries you manually add, including amounts, categories, dates, and notes. SpendLyst does not connect to your bank accounts or cards — all financial data is entered directly by you.
• Device & Usage Information: Basic device information (device type, operating system, app version) and general usage analytics to help us improve the App.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Sync and display your expense, income, and savings data across your devices
• Generate spending summaries, charts, and insights within the App
• Maintain and improve the App's performance, security, and features
• Respond to support requests

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or financial data to third parties.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is securely stored using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication). Firebase applies industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Third-Party Services

SpendLyst uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, and app infrastructure
• Google Sign-In — optional login method
• Facebook Login — optional login method

These providers may collect information in accordance with their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review Google's and Meta's privacy policies for further details.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your account and financial data for as long as your account remains active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time from within the App's profile settings, or by contacting us directly. Once deleted, this data cannot be recovered.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data and account
• Withdraw consent for optional data processing at any time

7. Children's Privacy

SpendLyst is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by an updated "Added" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
